This 1890's craftsman was transformed to match the spirited lifestyle of a young family passionate about art. Cooking, crafting and puzzling, while two miniature bull terriers race around the property makes the home feel like a living entity. The bold choices of this design helped align the house with the clients' fizzy energy.

The weighty architectural geometry of the house was balanced by adding curved, upholstered furniture in asymmetrical arrangements for a comfortable, floppable Floppable This made-up word became our go-to code when describing the combination of choices in each space. The rooms needed to be beautiful and interesting, of course, but were there enough spots to flop and snuggle a dog, read a book, or conspire with a friend? feel, never precious.

The leggy angularity of these steel chairs provided a counterpoint to
all of the softness of the upholstery in the living room space. The top
portion of the chair evokes the horns of a bull, giving the chairs
their name.
